Here we are. Back at it again. Completely consumed by Bachelor Nation.
I don’t know about you, but I LOVE The Bachelor and The Bachelorette and I am not at all afraid to admit it. I know so many people in my life that hate admitting they watch the show, or refuse to watch the show because “they know they’ll love it and could definitely get into it”. I for one, don’t get it, I could careless who knows, in fact – I even throw in that I’m part of a Bachelor Fantasy League.
I’ve always been a reality TV junkie. From The Hills, Jersey Shore, Teen Mom, Keeping Up and Big Brother, you name it I’ve watched it. So a couple years ago I figured The Bachelor was one of the only ones that I hadn’t watched and I figured – why not?
The first season I watched – and instantly fell in love with the show – was Kaitlyn Bristow’s season, who was proposed to by Shawn Booth (yes, rip to them I LOVED them together) (also, sorry that was a spoiler) (not that you’re probably going to go back and watch it) (ok, moving on). From that point I was hooked, I’ve watched every season, I’ve yelled at my TV various different times, every season and I make bets on who’s going to win the show with my Dad, every season. It’s easy TV, you don’t have to think, you literally get to watch other peoples drama unfold on TV and – as bad as this sounds…you enjoy it.
I figured I spend so much time talking to my friends about it, why not write about it too? For those of you who watch the show keep reading to find out who I think the top 4 ladies are going to be, along with my thoughts on some of this season’s most entertaining picks.
Colton’s season is an odd one, this particular batch of girls, are slightly boring but also incredibly fascinating to watch, all at the same time. I was never a huge fan of Colton being the Bachelor, as I personally wanted Jason Tartick to take the role, but found myself excited more than I thought I was going to be to tune in – even though we already know that he has a type.
(also hi, disclaimer – I am well aware of how TV works I work in the industry, so I know that these story lines are encouraged this is no way me intentionally hating on these gals because they’re all more than likely super cool, and not at all like how they’re portrayed in the show, in real life)
Let’s get started on who I think the most entertaining girls of the season are.
1. Heather (Never Been Kissed)
Was anyone else confused as to why Heather had never been kissed BEFORE being on the show? I sure was, I still am. She’s a pretty girl, she has a nice, pretty basic personality from what we have seen. I personally don’t at all think she’s going to win Colton over, and she probably only has a couple episodes left before she gets sent home. The reason why she made my cut of most entertaining girls is because of the simple fact that she reminds me of a high school student trying to get the popular guy on the school football team’s heart but all she’ll ever be is the girl next door *cue You Belong with Me – Taylor Swift*. I might be a little dramatic but we can all agree she definitely reminds us of that one girl from high school who tries to instigate unnecessary issues.All. The. Time. Which brings me to the next person on my list…
2. Hannah B. (Pageant Girl #1)
I’m not sure why, maybe it’s the way she roared on screen during Monday nights episode, but this girl really bothered me. I honestly and truly enjoyed her in the first two episodes she seemed to be super genuine, I even really liked that she was nervous on their one on one date in episode 2 – that made her seem a little more real. But this episode, holy hell. I have no respect for people on the show who go out of their way to talk about another contestant REGARDLESS of if you have a past with them or not. That my friends, is a one way ticket off the show. The fact that Hannah actually CRIED after the rose ceremony because he didn’t send Caelynn home was ridiculous. Girl you did that to yourself, and should be thanking your lucky stars it wasn’t you in the backseat of the limo.
3. Nicole (The Girl Next Door)
I LOVE NICOLE. I literally put her on the list because I’d love to see her as the Bachelorette. She’s super down to earth, isn’t drop dead gorgeous but still insanely pretty, was very real about the fact that the gym and her have never met, and just has a very honest and genuine heart. Again, she will not make it far in the season, but I really hope she makes it far enough for Bachelor In Paradise, or for another show. This girl is super real and I think viewers really dig that.
4. Demi (The Confident Spanker)
I think Demi makes for great TV. She obviously called up past villains of the show to get the handbook of what the basic do’s and don’ts are of the role “Bachelor Villain”. She’s the producers pick of the season which means we’re probably going to see her for a couple more episodes, and more than likely will go home on a two on one. But have no fear, she’ll be on this summers season of Bachelor in Paradise, and catch her on instagram promoting those blue gummy bears for hair, FabFitFun boxes and Diffy Sunglasses among other (basic Bachelor) brands ! She came off super annoying and irritating, but I honestly really like her. She’s a fun time. She’s confident, she’s a little risqué but the main thing is that she’s probably the most real person on the show. Demi is 100% being herself and she doesn’t care what anyone thinks about it. We should all be a little more like Demi. Go Demi !
I’m not going to go into any detail, as I plan to in a future post but here’s who I have as the top 4 girls – in no particular order.
1. Hannah G.
Let me know your thoughts on this season, who are your top 4 picks ?
